It’s a Girl!
Yesterday, my wife and I went to the hospital to have a 3D/4D ultrasound and get an early glimpse of our baby and know if the baby is a male or a female. It’s a girl! And above is her photo, her left hand covering her lips, the other limb is either a foot or her right arm. And the nose…It’s my nose!

A Recognition in Time before Calvin’s Birthday

It’s been awhile, again, that I have posted anything on this blog. I’ve been busy the past few months both with the ministries and with my growing family. I’m very excited to see my soon-to-be-born child after we have the 3D-4D ultrasound this coming May 15th. I’m eager to know if we’ll be having a HE or a SHE as our first and what exactly he/she looks like.
Anyway, I’ve stumbled upon this article from Time Magazine acknowledging Calvinism as one of the Top 10 Ideas that are Changing the World Now. It is interesting for a secular magazine to notice the increasing influence of John Calvin and Calvinism in Christian churches today, given its radical doctrines versus the “humanly-acceptable” teachings of today. The Fruit of Teaching Reformed Doctrines
Teaching Reformed doctrines is difficult for a young pastor serving in traditional Filipino-Chinese churches. I’ve encountered oppositions, discouragements, debate-hungry people almost every time I teach these things. But thank God for His grace and mercy, He has been using these biblical teachings to convict His people and change their lives, to become holy and blameless in His sight. Below is an email, a short testimony, of a man after encountering God on a different light, became a changed person. His email has been an encouragement for me to press on and continue to love the people God has entrusted me to minister to… Read the rest of this entry »

Is God Unfair?
Is God really unfair? Has God exercised favoritsm in His dealings with His creation and His people? Did God treat all people with inequality?
These are some of the questions Dr. J.I. Packer endeavored to answer in his article entitled “Is God Unfair?” posted on the Modern Reformation website. You may click here to read the whole article for your convenience. Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Reformation Day!

Today is Reformation Day, the day when almost 5 centuries ago Dr. Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the doors of the Wittenberg Church. This significant event in history sparked the dying amber in the hearts of men, and women, to remain faithful to the Word of God in terms of our faith and practice. Dr. Martin Luther challenged the Roman Catholic Church concerning many doctrines of the Church, eventually giving birth to Reformation and Protestantism in the West. Therefore, instead of trick-or-treating today, praise God and sing hymns to Him for ushering in the Reformation of the Church!
Soli Deo Gloria!
